حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، وَبِشْرٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ لَقِيَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي طَرِيقٍ مِنْ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ فَاخْتَنَسْتُ فَذَهَبْتُ فَاغْتَسَلْتُ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَقَالَ " أَيْنَ كُنْتَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ إِنِّي كُنْتُ جُنُبًا فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أُجَالِسَكَ عَلَى غَيْرِ طَهَارَةٍ . فَقَالَ " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ لاَ يَنْجُسُ " . وَقَالَ فِي حَدِيثِ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرٌ .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) met me on one of the streets of Madinah while I was in the state of janabah. I slipped away and went to bathe, then returned. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'Where were you, O Hadrat Abu Hurairah?' I replied: 'I was in the state of janabah, so I did not wish to sit with you (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) without being in a state of purity.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Glory be to Allah! A Muslim is never impure.' In the version of Bishr, the chain reads: Humayd narrated from Bakr.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: مدینہ کے ایک راستے میں مجھ سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی ملاقات ہوئی اور میں اس وقت جنبی تھا، میں پیچھے ہٹ گیا اور (وہاں سے) چلا گیا، پھر غسل کر کے واپس آیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: حضرت ابوہریرہ! تم کہاں چلے گئے تھے؟ میں نے عرض کیا: میں جنبی تھا اس لیے ناپاکی کی حالت میں آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ بیٹھنا مجھے مناسب نہ لگا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: سبحان اللہ! مسلمان نجس نہیں ہوتا۔ اور بشر کی روایت میں ہے: حمید نے بیان کیا، مجھ سے بکر نے بیان کیا۔
