حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنِ حَسَنَةَ، قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ، إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَخَرَجَ وَمَعَهُ دَرَقَةٌ ثُمَّ اسْتَتَرَ بِهَا ثُمَّ بَالَ فَقُلْنَا انْظُرُوا إِلَيْهِ يَبُولُ كَمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ . فَسَمِعَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ " أَلَمْ تَعْلَمُوا مَا لَقِيَ صَاحِبُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانُوا إِذَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْبَوْلُ قَطَعُوا مَا أَصَابَهُ الْبَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ فَنَهَاهُمْ فَعُذِّبَ فِي قَبْرِهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ " جِلْدَ أَحَدِهِمْ " . وَقَالَ عَاصِمٌ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " جَسَدَ أَحَدِهِمْ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Abdur-Rahman ibn Hasanah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: Hadrat Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be well pleased with him) and I went to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and we saw him (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) come out carrying a leather shield. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used it as a screen and then urinated. We remarked: 'Look, he urinates as a woman does (i.e., behind a screen).' When he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) heard this, he graciously stated: 'Do you not know what befell a certain man among the Children of Israel? Whenever urine would splash upon any of them, they would cut away the part of their body that the urine had touched. That man forbade them from doing so, and he was consequently punished in his grave.' Abu Dawud states: In Mansur's version from Abu Wa'il from Hadrat Abu Musa (may Allah be well pleased with him), the wording is 'the skin of one of them.' And in Asim's version from Abu Wa'il from Hadrat Abu Musa from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), the wording is 'the body of one of them.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبدالرحمٰن بن حسنہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں: میں اور حضرت عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے تو دیکھا کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم باہر تشریف لائے، آپ کے ہمراہ ایک ڈھال تھی، آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اسے آڑ بنایا اور پیشاب فرمایا۔ ہم نے کہا: دیکھو! آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم عورتوں کی طرح (آڑ لے کر) پیشاب فرما رہے ہیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے یہ سن کر ارشاد فرمایا: کیا تمہیں معلوم نہیں کہ بنی اسرائیل کے ایک شخص پر کیا گزری؟ ان میں سے جب کسی کے جسم پر پیشاب لگ جاتا تو وہ اس جگہ کو کاٹ ڈالتا، اس شخص نے انہیں اس سے روکا تو اسے قبر میں عذاب دیا گیا۔ حضرت ابوداؤد فرماتے ہیں: منصور نے حضرت ابووائل سے، انہوں نے حضرت ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے اس حدیث میں «جلد أحدهم» (اپنی کھال کاٹ ڈالتے) کا لفظ روایت کیا ہے، اور عاصم نے حضرت ابووائل سے، انہوں نے حضرت ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے، انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے «جسد أحدهم» (اپنا جسم کاٹ ڈالتے) کا لفظ بیان کیا ہے۔
