حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَنْبَسَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ لِرَسُولِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَتَغَيَّظَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ قَالَ " مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا ثُمَّ لْيُمْسِكْهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ تَحِيضَ فَتَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ إِنْ شَاءَ طَلَّقَهَا طَاهِرًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمَسَّ فَذَلِكَ الطَّلاَقُ لِلْعِدَّةِ كَمَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Salim ibn Abdullah narrates from his father (Hadrat Ibn Umar, may Allah be well pleased with them both) that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating. Hadrat Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) mentioned this to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), who became displeased and then stated: "Command him to take her back, then keep her until she becomes clean, then menstruates, then becomes clean again. Then, if he wishes, let him divorce her while she is clean, before having relations with her. That is the divorce according to the prescribed period, as Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has commanded."
Urdu Translation
حضرت سالم بن عبداللہ اپنے والد (حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے اپنی بیوی کو حالتِ حیض میں طلاق دے دی۔ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اس کا ذکر کیا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو سخت ناگواری ہوئی، پھر ارشاد فرمایا: اسے حکم دو کہ رجوع کر لے، پھر اسے روکے رکھے یہاں تک کہ وہ پاک ہو جائے، پھر حیض آئے، پھر پاک ہو جائے۔ پھر اگر چاہے تو حالتِ طہر میں صحبت سے پہلے طلاق دے دے۔ یہی عدت کے مطابق طلاق ہے جیسا کہ اللہ عزوجل نے حکم فرمایا ہے۔
