Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقَطَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي خَارِجَةُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْجُهَنِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يُخْبَطُ وَلاَ يُعْضَدُ حِمَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَلَكِنْ يُهَشُّ هَشًّا رَفِيقًا " .
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: The leaves of the trees in the protected territory of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) (i.e. Madinah al-Munawwarah) shall not be beaten off, nor shall the trees be cut down; however, the leaves may be shaken off gently.
Urdu Translation
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ حضور سرورِ عالم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے حرم (مدینۂ منورہ) کے درختوں کے نہ پتے توڑے جائیں اور نہ درخت کاٹے جائیں، البتہ نرمی سے (پتے) جھاڑ لیے جائیں۔
