حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ مَا كَتَبْنَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلاَّ الْقُرْآنَ وَمَا فِي هَذِهِ الصَّحِيفَةِ . قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْمَدِينَةُ حَرَامٌ مَا بَيْنَ عَائِرٍ إِلَى ثَوْرٍ فَمَنْ أَحْدَثَ حَدَثًا أَوْ آوَى مُحْدِثًا فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لاَ يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ عَدْلٌ وَلاَ صَرْفٌ وَذِمَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَاحِدَةٌ يَسْعَى بِهَا أَدْنَاهُمْ فَمَنْ أَخْفَرَ مُسْلِمًا فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لاَ يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ عَدْلٌ وَلاَ صَرْفٌ وَمَنْ وَالَى قَوْمًا بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ مَوَالِيهِ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لاَ يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ عَدْلٌ وَلاَ صَرْفٌ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Ali al-Murtada (may Allah ennoble his countenance) said: We wrote down nothing from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) except the Holy Qur'an and what is contained in this document. He said that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Madinah al-Munawwarah is sacred from (Mount) A'ir to (Mount) Thawr. Whoever introduces an innovation therein or shelters an innovator, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels and all of mankind; neither his obligatory deeds nor his voluntary deeds shall be accepted from him. The covenant of protection among the Muslims is one — even the humblest of them may grant it. Whoever violates the protection granted by a Muslim, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels and all of mankind; neither his obligatory deeds nor his voluntary deeds shall be accepted from him. And whoever takes allegiance (wala') with a people without the permission of his patron (mawla), upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels and all of mankind; neither his obligatory deeds nor his voluntary deeds shall be accepted from him.
Urdu Translation
حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم نے حضور سرورِ عالم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے سوائے قرآنِ کریم کے اور اس کے جو اس صحیفے میں ہے کچھ نہیں لکھا۔ آپ فرماتے ہیں کہ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مدینۂ منورہ عائر سے ثور تک حرم ہے۔ پس جو شخص اس میں کوئی بدعت (نیا فتنہ) نکالے یا کسی بدعتی کو پناہ دے تو اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ، فرشتوں اور تمام لوگوں کی لعنت ہے، نہ اس کا فرض قبول ہوگا اور نہ نفل۔ اور مسلمانوں کا ذمہ (عہد) ایک ہے، اس کو نبھانے کی ادنیٰ سے ادنیٰ شخص بھی کوشش کرے، پس جو کسی مسلمان کی دی ہوئی امان کو توڑے تو اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ، فرشتوں اور تمام لوگوں کی لعنت ہے، نہ اس کا فرض قبول ہوگا اور نہ نفل۔ اور جو اپنے آقا (مولیٰ) کی اجازت کے بغیر کسی اور قوم سے ولاء کرے تو اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ، فرشتوں اور تمام لوگوں کی لعنت ہے، نہ اس کا فرض قبول ہوگا اور نہ نفل۔
