حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، وَدَاوُدُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ أُقِيمَتْ صَلاَةُ الْعِشَاءِ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي حَاجَةً . فَقَامَ يُنَاجِيهِ حَتَّى نَعَسَ الْقَوْمُ أَوْ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِهِمْ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ وُضُوءًا .
English Translation
Hadrat Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: The iqamah for the Isha prayer was called, when a man stood up and submitted: 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), I have a need to speak with you.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) then stood conversing privately with him until the people — or some of the people — dozed off. Then he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) led them in prayer. (Thabit al-Bunani) did not mention ablution.
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ عشاء کی نماز کی اقامت ہوئی تو ایک شخص کھڑا ہوا اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! مجھے آپ سے ایک ضرورت ہے۔ پھر وہ کھڑے ہو کر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے سرگوشی کرنے لگا، یہاں تک کہ سب لوگوں کو — یا بعض لوگوں کو — نیند آ گئی۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے انہیں نماز پڑھائی۔ (ثابت بنانی نے) وضو کا ذکر نہیں کیا۔
