حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مِجْلَزٍ، يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ شَىْءٍ، مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجِمَارِ فَقَالَ مَا أَدْرِي أَرَمَاهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِسِتٍّ أَوْ بِسَبْعٍ .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Mijlaz (may Allah have mercy upon him) narrates: I asked Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) about a matter concerning the casting of pebbles at the Jamarat. He replied: I do not know whether the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) cast six pebbles or seven.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابومجلز فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے رمی جمرات کے بارے میں کچھ دریافت کیا تو انہوں نے فرمایا: مجھے معلوم نہیں کہ حضور سرورِ کائنات صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے چھ کنکریاں ماریں یا سات۔
