Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَرْمِي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ضُحًى فَأَمَّا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَبَعْدَ زَوَالِ الشَّمْسِ .
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates: I saw the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) performing the casting of pebbles (rami) on the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr) while seated upon his riding beast in the forenoon. As for the days thereafter (i.e. the 11th, 12th, and 13th), he performed the rami after the sun had passed the meridian.
Urdu Translation
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے سرکارِ دو عالم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو یوم النحر کو چاشت کے وقت اپنی سواری پر تشریف فرما ہو کر رمی فرماتے دیکھا، پھر اس کے بعد (یعنی گیارہویں، بارہویں اور تیرہویں تاریخ کو) جو رمی فرمائی تو وہ سورج ڈھلنے کے بعد فرمائی۔
