حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَطَبَ فِي حَجَّتِهِ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ الزَّمَانَ قَدِ اسْتَدَارَ كَهَيْئَتِهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ السَّنَةُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ثَلاَثٌ مُتَوَالِيَاتٌ ذُو الْقَعْدَةِ وَ ذُو الْحِجَّةِ وَالْمُحَرَّمُ وَرَجَبُ مُضَرَ الَّذِي بَيْنَ جُمَادَى وَشَعْبَانَ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Bakrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) delivered a sermon during his Hajj and graciously stated: Indeed, time has completed its cycle and returned to its original form as it was on the day Allah created the heavens and the earth. The year consists of twelve months, of which four are sacred: three are consecutive -- Dhul Qa'dah, Dhul Hijjah, and Muharram -- and the Rajab of Mudar, which falls between Jumada al-Akhirah and Sha'ban.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوبکرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حج میں خطبہ ارشاد فرمایا: بے شک زمانہ پلٹ کر ویسے ہی ہو گیا جیسے اس روز تھا جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا فرمایا تھا۔ سال بارہ مہینوں کا ہوتا ہے، ان میں سے چار حرمت والے ہیں: تین مسلسل ہیں یعنی ذی قعدہ، ذی الحجہ اور محرم، اور (چوتھا) مضر کا رجب ہے جو جمادی الآخرہ اور شعبان کے درمیان ہے۔
