Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ مِنْ أَفْضَلِ أَيَّامِكُمْ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَأَكْثِرُوا عَلَىَّ مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ فِيهِ فَإِنَّ صَلاَتَكُمْ مَعْرُوضَةٌ عَلَىَّ " . قَالَ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ تُعْرَضُ صَلاَتُنَا عَلَيْكَ وَقَدْ أَرِمْتَ قَالَ يَقُولُونَ بَلِيتَ . قَالَ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى حَرَّمَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ أَجْسَادَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Aws ibn Aws (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: 'The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Indeed, among the most virtuous of your days is Friday, so send abundant blessings upon me on that day, for your blessings are presented to me." They said: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), how will our blessings be presented to you when you will have decayed? — they meant decomposed — He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, has forbidden the earth from consuming the bodies of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)s (upon them be peace)."'
Urdu Translation
حضرت اَوس بن اَوس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: بے شک تمہارے سب سے افضل دنوں میں سے جمعہ کا دن ہے — اس دن مجھ پر کثرت سے درود بھیجو کیونکہ تمہارا درود مجھ پر پیش کیا جاتا ہے — صحابہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہمارا درود آپ پر کیسے پیش ہوگا جبکہ آپ (جسم مبارک) بوسیدہ ہو چکے ہوں گے — (راوی کہتے ہیں) وہ بَلِيتَ یعنی بوسیدگی کہتے ہیں — فرمایا: بے شک اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ نے زمین پر انبیاء علیہم السلام کے اجسام حرام کر دیے ہیں (یعنی زمین ان کے جسموں کو نہیں کھاتی)۔
