حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ وَرَّادٍ، مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَىُّ شَىْءٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ إِذَا سَلَّمَ مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ فَأَمْلاَهَا الْمُغِيرَةُ عَلَيْهِ وَكَتَبَ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللَّهُمَّ لاَ مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلاَ مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلاَ يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ " .
English Translation
Hadrat al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: Hadrat Mu'awiyah (may Allah be well pleased with him) wrote to al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah: What did the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to say after finishing the prayer? Al-Mughirah dictated it and wrote to Hadrat Mu'awiyah: 'The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to say: "La ilaha illa Allahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-hamd, wa Huwa 'ala kulli shay'in Qadir. Allahumma la mani'a lima a'tayt, wa la mu'tiya lima mana't, wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minka al-jadd" (There is no god but Allah, alone without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and no wealth or position can benefit anyone against You).'
Urdu Translation
حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے: حضرت معاویہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے مغیرہ بن شعبہ کو لکھا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نماز سے سلام پھیرنے کے بعد کیا فرماتے تھے؟ مغیرہ نے املا کروایا اور حضرت معاویہ کو لکھ بھیجا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم فرماتے تھے: لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اَللَّهُمَّ لاَ مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلاَ مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلاَ يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ (اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں — وہ اکیلا ہے اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں — اسی کی بادشاہی ہے اور اسی کے لیے حمد — اور وہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے — اے اللہ! جو تو دے اسے کوئی روکنے والا نہیں — جو تو روکے اسے کوئی دینے والا نہیں — اور کسی مال والے کو اس کا مال تیرے آگے نفع نہیں دے سکتا)۔
