حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ كَانَ يُؤَذَّنُ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا جَلَسَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى بَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ . ثُمَّ سَاقَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ يُونُسَ .
English Translation
Al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid narrates: 'The adhan would be called in front of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) when he sat on the minbar on Friday, at the door of the mosque — and likewise during the time of Hadrat Abu Bakr and Hadrat 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both).' Then he narrated like the hadith of Yunus.
Urdu Translation
سائب بن یزید فرماتے ہیں: جمعے کے دن جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم منبر پر تشریف فرما ہوتے تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے سامنے مسجد کے دروازے پر اذان دی جاتی — اسی طرح حضرت ابوبکر اور حضرت عمر (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما) کے زمانے میں بھی۔ پھر یونس کی حدیث کی طرح ذکر کیا۔
