الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Mas'ud said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in a cave when "By those sent forth in gusts" (al-Mursalat) was revealed to him. I took it from his mouth while it was still fresh — his mouth was still moist with it. I did not know which of the two endings he sealed it with — "In what statement after it will they believe?" (77:50) or "When it is said to them, 'Bow down,' they do not bow" (77:48). And a snake escaped into its hole. He said: "You were spared its harm and it was spared your harm."
