Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10046 حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ فَرْوَةَ ثنا أَبِي عَنْ أَبِي هَارُونَ أَنَّ سِنَانَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ النَّخَعِيِّ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صِفَتِي أَحْمَدُ الْمُتَوَكِّلُ لَيْسَ بِفَظٍّ وَلَا غَلِيظٍ يَجْزِي بِالْحَسَنَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ وَلَا يُكَافِيءُ السَّيِّئَةَ مَوْلِدُهُ بِمَكَّةَ وَمُهَاجَرُهُ طَيْبَةُ وَأُمَّتُهُ الْحَمَّادُونَ يَأْتَزِرُونَ عَلَى أَنْصَافِهِمْ وَيُوصُونَ أَطْرَافَهُمْ أَنَاجِيلُهُمْ فِي صُدُورِهِمْ يَصُفُّونَ لِلصَّلَاةِ كَمَا يَصُفُّونَ لِلْقِتَالِ قُرْبَانُهُمُ الَّذِي يَتَقَرَّبُونَ بِهِ إِلَيَّ دِمَاؤُهُمْ رُهْبَانٌ بِاللَّيْلِ لُيُوثٌ بِالنَّهَارِ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'My description [in earlier scriptures] is Ahmad, the one who relies upon Allah. He is neither harsh nor rough. He repays good with good and does not repay evil with evil. His birthplace is Makkah and his migration is to Taybah [Madinah]. His nation are those who praise abundantly. They wrap their garments around their waists and they wash their extremities. Their scriptures are in their hearts. They line up for prayer as they line up for battle. The offering with which they draw near to Me is their blood [in sacrifice and martyrdom]. They are monks by night and lions by day.'
