Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9896 حَدَّثَنَا أَسْلَمُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ الْبُرْجُلَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ كُنَّا نَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى فُلَانٍ السَّلَامُ عَلَى فُلَانٍ فَنُسَمِّي مَنْ عَلِمْنَا مِنْ عِلْمِنَا مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالْأَنْبِيَاءِ فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ هُوَ السَّلَامُ» ثُمَّ عَلَّمَنَا التَّشَهُّدَ فَكُنَّا نَتَعَلَّمُهُ كَمَا يَتَعَلَّمُ أَحَدٌ مِنَّا السُّورَةَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ قَالَ قُولُوا التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abdullah said: We used to say in prayer: 'Peace be upon so-and-so, peace be upon so-and-so,' naming the angels and prophets whose names we knew. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Indeed Allah is al-Salam.' Then he taught us the tashahhud, and we used to learn it as one of us would learn a surah from the Quran. He said: 'Say: All greetings, prayers, and pure words are for Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.'
