Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8949 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ قَدِمَ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَقَدْ بَنَى سَعْدٌ الْقَصْرَ وَاتَّخَذَ مَسْجِدًا فِي أَصْحَابِ التَّمْرِ فَكَانَ يَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الصَّلَوَاتِ فَلَمَّا وَلِيَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بَيْتَ الْمَالِ نَقَبَ بَيْتَ الْمَالِ فَأَخَذَ الرَّجُلَ فَكَتَبَ عَبْدُ اللهِ إِلَى عُمَرَ فَكَتَبَ عُمَرُ «أَنْ لَا تَقْطَعْهُ وَانْقُلِ الْمَسْجِدَ وَاجْعَلْ بَيْتَ الْمَالِ مِمَّا يَلِي الْقِبْلَةَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَزَالُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ مَنْ يُصَلِّي» فَنَقَلَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَخَطَّ هَذِهِ الْخُطَّةَ وَكَانَ الْقَصْرُ الَّذِي بَنَى سَعْدٌ شَاذَرَ وَإِنْ كَانَ الْإِمَامُ يَقُومُ عَلَيْهِ «فَأَمَرَ بِهِ عَبْدُ اللهِ فَنُقِضَ حَتَّى اسْتَوَى مَقَامُ الْإِمَامِ مَعَ النَّاسِ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
When Abdullah arrived, Sa'd had built the palace and established a mosque among the date merchants. Abdullah used to go out to it for the prayers. When Abdullah was put in charge of the treasury, the treasury was broken into and the culprit was caught. Abdullah wrote to Umar, and Umar wrote back: 'Do not cut off his hand. Move the mosque and make the treasury adjacent to the qiblah wall, for there will always be someone praying in the mosque.' Abdullah moved it and laid out this plan. The palace that Sa'd had built was elevated, and the imam would stand on it. Abdullah ordered it demolished until the imam's standing place was level with the people.
