Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8492 وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا مَعَ حُذَيْفَةَ وَأَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِصَاحِبِهِ هَلْ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ حَدِيثَ كَذَا وَكَذَا؟ فَقَالَ لَا فَقَالَ لَهُ الْآخَرُ فَأَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ؟ فَقَالَ لَا فَقَالَ فَإِنَّ صَاحِبَ هَذَا الدَّارِ يَزْعُمُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ فَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى «لَئِنْ فَعَلَ إِنْ كَانَ لَيَدْخُلُ إِذَا حُجِبْنَا وَيَشْهَدُ إِذَا غِبْنَا» قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ «عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَعْنِي»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hudhayfah and Abu Musa al-Ash'ari were sitting together when one said to the other: "Did you hear the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say such-and-such hadith?" He said: "No." The other asked: "Did you hear it?" He said: "No." One of them said: "The owner of that house (meaning 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud) claims he heard it." Abu Musa said: "If he says so, then indeed he used to enter (upon the Prophet) when we were prevented, and he would be present when we were absent."
