Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8425 حَدَّثَنَا أَسْلَمُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى زَحْمَوَيْهِ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ثنا حَبِيبُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ تَرَكْتُ بِالْكُوفَةِ رَجُلًا يُمْلِي الْمَصَاحِفَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ قَلْبِهِ فَغَضِبَ عُمَرُ حَتَّى انْتَفَخَ وَجْهُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ هُوَ؟ قَالَ عَبْدُ الل��ِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَ لِلَّهِ أَبُوكَ وَمَنْ أَحَقُّ بِذَلِكَ مِنْهُ؟ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يقولُ «مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ غَضًّا كَمَا أُنْزِلَ فَلْيَقْرَأْهُ عَلَى قِرَاءَةِ ابْنِ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
A man came to 'Umar ibn al-Khattab and said: "O Commander of the Faithful, I left in Kufah a man who dictates copies of the Quran from memory." 'Umar became so angry that his face swelled. Then he said: "Who is he?" The man said: "'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud." 'Umar said: "By Allah, your father! And who is more deserving of that than him? I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'Whoever would be pleased to recite the Quran fresh as it was revealed, let him recite it according to the recitation of Ibn Umm 'Abd.'"
