Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8096 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو غَالِبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِنِسَائِهِ «لَا تُبْكُوا هَذَا الصَّبِيَّ» يَعْنِي حُسَيْنًا قَالَ وَكَانَ يَوْمَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَنَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الدَّاخِلَ وَقَالَ لِأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ «لَا تَدَعِي أَحَدًا يَدْخُلُ عَلَيَّ» فَجَاءَ الْحُسَيْنُ ؓ فَلَمَّا نَظَرَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الْبَيْتِ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ فَأَخَذَتْهُ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ فَاحْتَضَنَتْهُ وَجَعَلَتْ تُنَاغِيهِ وَتُسْكِنُهُ فَلَمَّا اشْتَدَّ فِي الْبُكَاءِ خَلَّتْ عَنْهُ فَدَخَلَ حَتَّى جَلَسَ فِي حِجْرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ جِبْرِيلُ ﷺ إِنَّ أُمَّتَكَ سَتَقْتُلُ ابْنَكَ هَذَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يَقْتُلُونَهُ وَهُمْ مُؤْمِنُونَ بِي؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ يَقْتُلُونَهُ فَتَنَاوَلَ جِبْرِيلُ تُرْبَةً فَقَالَ بِمَكَانِ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدِ احْتَضَنَ حُسَيْنًا كَاسِفَ الْبَالِ مَهْمُومًا فَظَنَّتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّهُ غَضِبَ مِنْ دُخُولِ الصَّبِيِّ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ جُعِلْتُ لَكَ الْفِدَاءَ إِنَّكَ قُلْتَ لَنَا لَا تُبْكُوا هَذَا الصَّبِيَّ وَأَمَرْتَنِي أَنْ لَا أَدَعَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكَ فَجَاءَ فَخَلَّيْتُ عَنْهُ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهَا فَخَرَجَ إِلَى أَصْحَابِهِ وَهُمْ جُلُوسٌ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ «إِنَّ أُمَّتِي يَقْتُلُونَ هَذَا» وَفِي الْقَوْمِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ ؓ وَكَانَا أَجْرَأَ الْقَوْمِ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ يَقْتُلُونَهُ وَهُمْ مُؤْمِنُونَ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَهَذِهِ تُرْبَتُهُ» وَأَرَاهُمْ إِيَّاهَا
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to his wives: "Do not make this child cry" - meaning Husayn. It was the day of Umm Salamah. Jibril (peace be upon him) descended, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) entered the inner room and told Umm Salamah: "Do not let anyone enter upon me." Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) came, and when he saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the house, he wanted to enter. Umm Salamah took him and embraced him, trying to soothe and quiet him. When he cried intensely, she let him go, and he entered and sat in the Prophet's lap. Jibril (peace be upon him) said: "Your Ummah will kill this son of yours." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "They will kill him while they believe in me?" He said: "Yes, they will kill him." Jibril took some soil and said: "In such and such a place." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came out holding Husayn, distressed and worried. Umm Salamah thought he was angry about the child entering upon him, so she said: "O Prophet of Allah, may I be your ransom, you told us not to make this child cry and you told me not to let anyone enter upon you. He came and I let him go." But he did not respond to her. He went out to his companions who were sitting and said to them: "My Ummah will kill this one." Among the people were Abu Bakr and 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), and they were the boldest of the people before him. They said: "O Prophet of Allah, they will kill him while they are believers?" He said: "Yes, and this is his soil" - and he showed it to them.
