Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:7899 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْحَذَّاءُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ وَعَيْنَاهُ تَدْمَعَانِ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ تَبْكِي عَلَى هَذَا السَّخْلِ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَقَدْ دَفَنْتُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ وَلَدًا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ كُلُّهُمْ آسَفُ مِنْهُ كُلُّهُمْ أَدُسُّهُ فِي التُّرَابِ أَحْيَاءَ فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ «فَمَا ذَاكَ بِأَنْ كَانَتِ الرَّحْمَةُ ذَهَبَتْ مِنْكَ يَحْزَنُ الْقَلْبُ وَتَدْمَعُ الْعَيْنُ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَلَا نَقُولُ مَا يُسْخِطُ الرَّبَّ وَإِنَّا عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَمَحْزُونُونَ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Umamah said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) when (his son) Ibrahim had died, and his eyes were shedding tears. The man said: "O Prophet of Allah, you weep over this infant? By the One Who sent you with the truth, I have buried twelve children in the pre-Islamic period, each one I was less grieved over than him - I buried each of them alive in the earth." The Prophet of Allah said: "That is not because mercy has left you. The heart grieves and the eye sheds tears over Ibrahim, but we do not say what would anger the Lord. And indeed, we are grieved over Ibrahim."
