Abu Dujanah said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) lined up his companions on the Day of Uhud, he placed them in rows, then took out a sword and said: 'Who will take this sword and fulfill its right?' Everyone reached out for it. He withheld it. Then he said: 'Who will take this sword and fulfill its right?' The people held back. Abu Dujanah Simak said: 'I will, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'What is its right?' He said: 'That I strike the enemies with it until it bends.' He said: 'Take it.' Abu Dujanah was a man who strutted before battle. He took the sword and began strutting between the two lines. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'This is a walk that Allah hates except at such a time.'"
