Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:5909 خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَجَاءَ بِلَالٌ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ قَدْ حَانَتْ وَحُبِسَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَتَؤُمُّ النَّاسَ؟ قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَقَامَ بِلَالٌ الصَّلَاةَ فَتَقَدَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَخَذَ النَّاسُ فِي التَّصْفِيحِ وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ لَا يَلْتَفِتُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَمَّا أَكْثَرَ النَّاسُ الْتَفَتَ فَإِذَا بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الصَّفِّ فَأَشَارَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَرَفَعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَدَهُ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَهْقَرَى وَرَاءَهُ حَتَّى رَجَعَ فِي الصَّفِّ فَتَقَدَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ مَا لَكُمْ حِينَ نَابَكُمْ شَيْءٌ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَخَذْتُمْ بِالتَّصْفِيحِ إِنَّمَا التَّصْفِيحُ لِلنِّسَاءِ فَمَنْ نَابَهُ شَيْءٌ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلْيَقُلْ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَسْمَعُهُ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا الْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ حِينَ أَشَرْتُ إِلَيْكَ؟ قَالَ مَا كَانَ يَنْبَغِي لِابْنِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَجَاءَ بِلَالٌ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ قَدْ حَانَتْ وَحُبِسَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَتَؤُمُّ النَّاسَ؟ قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَقَامَ بِلَالٌ الصَّلَاةَ فَتَقَدَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَخَذَ النَّاسُ فِي التَّصْفِيحِ وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ لَا يَلْتَفِتُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَمَّا أَكْثَرَ النَّاسُ الْتَفَتَ فَإِذَا بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الصَّفِّ فَأَشَارَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَرَفَعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَدَهُ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَهْقَرَى وَرَاءَهُ حَتَّى رَجَعَ فِي الصَّفِّ فَتَقَدَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ مَا لَكُمْ حِينَ نَابَكُمْ شَيْءٌ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَخَذْتُمْ بِالتَّصْفِيحِ إِنَّمَا التَّصْفِيحُ لِلنِّسَاءِ فَمَنْ نَابَهُ شَيْءٌ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلْيَقُلْ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَسْمَعُهُ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا الْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ حِينَ أَشَرْتُ إِلَيْكَ؟ قَالَ مَا كَانَ يَنْبَغِي لِابْنِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went out to Banu 'Amr ibn 'Awf. The prayer time came, and Bilal came to Abu Bakr and said: "O Abu Bakr, the prayer time has come and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is delayed. Will you lead the people in prayer?" He said: "If you wish." Bilal called the iqamah and Abu Bakr stepped forward. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) arrived, and the people began clapping. Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) did not turn around in his prayer, but when the clapping increased, he turned and saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in the row. The Prophet (peace be upon him) gestured (to continue), but Abu Bakr raised his hands and praised Allah, then stepped backward until he was back in the row. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stepped forward and led the prayer. When he finished, he turned to the people and said: "O people, why did you clap when something happened during the prayer? Clapping is for women. Whoever is troubled by something in his prayer, let him say 'SubhanAllah,' for no one hears it except that he turns toward him." He said: "O Abu Bakr, what prevented you from praying when I gestured to you?" He said: "It was not fitting for the son of Abu Quhafah to pray in front of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)."
