Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:5467 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بَدْرِ بْنِ أَصْلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ الْأَطْوَلِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ قَالَ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ يَخْرُجُ إِلَى أَصْحَابِهِ بِتُسْتَرَ فَيَزُورُهُمْ فَيُقِيمُ يَوْمَ دُخُولِهِ وَالثَّانِي وَيَخْرُجُ فِي الثَّالِثِ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ لَوْ أَقَمْتَ فَيَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الثَّنَاوَةِ فَمَنْ أَقَامَ بِبِلَادِ الْخَرَاجِ فَقَدْ ثنا وَأَنَا أَكْرَهُ أَنْ أُقِيمَ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
'Abdullah ibn Sa'd used to go out to visit his companions in Tustar. He would stay the day of his arrival and the next day, then leave on the third. People would say: "If only you would stay longer." He would say: "I heard my father say that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade me from living permanently (in non-Muslim lands), and whoever settles in the land of tribute has become a settler, and I dislike settling."
