Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:5439 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو قَزَعَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ وَفْدَ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ أَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ جَعَلَنَا اللهُ فِدَاكَ مَاذَا يَصْلُحُ لَنَا مِنَ الْأَشْرِبَةِ؟ قَالَ «لَا تَشْرَبُوا فِي النَّقِيرِ» قَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ جَعَلَنَا اللهُ فِدَاكَ أَوَتَدْرِي مَا النَّقِيرُ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ الْجِذْعُ يُنْقَرُ وَسَطُهُ وَلَا فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَلَا فِي الْحَنْتَمَةِ وَعَلَيْكُمْ بَالمُوكَأِ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri narrated that the delegation of 'Abd al-Qays came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: "O Prophet of Allah, may Allah make us your ransom — what kinds of drinks are permissible for us?" He said: "Do not drink from the hollowed-out trunk (naqir)." They said: "O Prophet of Allah, do you know what the naqir is?" He said: "Yes, it is a trunk hollowed out in the middle. And not from a gourd, nor from a green jar (hantamah). You should use the tied waterskin."
