Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani said: A man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about found property and about stray camels and sheep. He told him regarding found property: "Announce it for a year and learn its container and string and pouch. If someone comes, give it to him; otherwise, use it." He said about stray sheep: "It is for you, your brother, or the wolf." He said about stray camels: "What do you have to do with them? They have their water pouches and their feet."
