Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:3724 حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ ذُكِرَتِ الِاسْتِطَابَةُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «أَلَا يَكْفِي أَحَدَكُمْ ثَلَاثَةُ أَحْجَارٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِنَّ رَجِيعٌ؟» قَالَ هِشَامٌ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو وَجْزَةَ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ إِنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ أَبُو خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ «لَا إِنَّمَا هُوَ أَبُو وَجْزَةَ الشَّاعِرُ»

The topic of istijmar (cleansing after relieving oneself) was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he said: 'Is it not sufficient for any one of you to use three stones, none of which is dung?' Hisham said: 'Abu Wajzah informed me, from 'Umarah ibn Khuzaymah ibn Thabit.' It was said to Sufyan: 'They say Abu Khuzaymah.' He said: 'No, it is Abu Wajzah the poet.'
