Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:2911 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقَطِرَانِيُّ ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ثنا أَبُو عَتَّابٍ الدَّلَّالُ أَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ ثَابِتٍ حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ قَالَ صَنَعَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ نِسَاءِ الْحُسَيْنِ طَعَامًا فِي بَعْضِ أَرْضِهِ فَطَعِمَ ثُمَّ رُفِعَ الطَّعَامُ فَجَاءَ مَوْلًى لَهُ فَدَعَا بِالطَّعَامِ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ لَا أُرِيدُهُ قَالَ لِمَ؟ قَالَ أَكَلْنَا قُبَيْلُ عِنْدَ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ الْحُسَيْنُ إِنَّ أَبَاهَ كَانَ سَيِّدَ قُرَيْشٍ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَأَطِيبُوا الْكَلَامَ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Habib ibn Abi Thabit said: One of the wives of al-Husayn prepared food on one of his properties. He ate, then the food was cleared. A freed slave of his came. Al-Husayn called for the food to be brought back, but the slave said: "O Abu 'Abdullah, I do not want it." He asked: "Why?" He said: "We just ate at the house of 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abbas." Al-Husayn said: "His father was the master of Quraysh. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'O Banu 'Abd al-Muttalib, feed people food and speak good words.'"
