Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1551 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ بَيْنَا هُوَ يَسِيرُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ النَّاسُ مَقْفَلَهُ مِنْ حُنَيْنٍ عَلِقَهُ الْأَعْرَابُ يَسْأَلُونَهُ فَاضْطَرُّوهُ إِلَى سَمُرَةٍ فَخَطِفَتْ رِدَاءَهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ فَوَقَفَ فَقَالَ «رُدُّوا عَلِيَّ رِدَائِي أَتَخْشَوْنَ عَلِيَّ الْبُخْلَ فَوَاللهِ لَوْ كَانَ عَدَدُ هَذِهِ الْعِضَاهِ نَعَمًا لَقَسَّمْتُهُ بَيْنَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُونِي بَخِيلًا وَلَا جَبَانًا وَلَا كَذَّابًا»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Narrated Jubayr ibn Mut'im: While he was traveling with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and the people on the return from Hunayn, the Bedouins clung to him asking him for things, until they pressed him against a thorny tree, which snatched away his cloak while he was on his mount. He stopped and said: "Return my cloak to me. Do you fear miserliness from me? By Allah, if I had livestock as numerous as these thorny trees, I would distribute them among you, and then you would not find me miserly, nor cowardly, nor a liar."
