Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1296 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَرَمِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الْقَسْمَلِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي غَالِبُ بْنُ حُجْرَةَ حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ عَبْدِ اللهِ بِنْتُ مِلْقَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهَا عَنْ أَبِيهِ التَّلِبِّ أَنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَكَانَ يُطْعِمُ ويَكِيلُ لِي مُدًّا فَأَرْفَعُهُ وَآكُلُ مَعَ النَّاسِ حَتَّى كَانَ طَعَامًا قَالَ وَأَتَى التَّلِبُّ النَّب��يَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَطْعَمْتَنِي مُدًّا يَوْمَ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَجَمَعْتُهُ إِلَى الْيَوْمِ قَالَ «فَاسْتَقْرَضَهُ مِنْهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَكَانَ لَهُ مِنْهُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَكِيلُ لَهُ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Al-Talib said: He used to be with the Prophet (peace be upon him) who would feed him and measure out a mudd of food for him. He would save it and eat with the people until it became a meal. Al-Talib came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: "You used to feed me a mudd on such-and-such day, and I have been saving it until today." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) borrowed it from him, and he continued to give him his usual measure as before.
