Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1183 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ «فِي تَسْمِيَةِ أَصْحَابِ الْعَقَبَةِ الَّذِينَ بَايَعُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْعَقَبَةِ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي سَلِمَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جُشَمٍ الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ مَعْرُورِ بْنِ صَخْرِ بْنِ خَنْسَاءَ وَهُوَ نَقِيبٌ وَهُوَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَوْصَى بِثُلُثِ مَالِهِ فَأَجَازَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
'Urwah narrated regarding the naming of the companions who pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) at al-'Aqabah from the Ansar, then from Banu Salimah ibn Yazid ibn Jusham: al-Bara' ibn Ma'rur ibn Sakhr ibn Khansa' - he was a chief (naqib) and he was the first to bequeath a third of his wealth, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) approved it.
