Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11690 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ ثنا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ الثُّمَالِيُّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْخَيْفِ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَذَكَرَهُ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «مَنْ كَانَتِ الْآخِرَةُ هَمَّهُ جَمَعَ اللهُ لَهُ شَمْلَهُ وَجَعَلَ غِنَاهُ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ وَأَتَتْهُ الدُّنْيَا وَهِيَ رَاغِمَةٌ وَمَنْ كَانَتِ الدُّنْيَا هَمَّهُ فَرَّقَ اللهُ شَمْلَهُ وَجَعَلَ فَقْرَهُ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ وَلَمْ يُؤْتِهِ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَا كُتِبَ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) gave a sermon at the Mosque of al-Khayf, praised Allah and mentioned Him as He deserves, then said: 'Whoever makes the Hereafter his concern, Allah will gather his affairs, place contentment in his heart, and the world will come to him submissively. And whoever makes the world his concern, Allah will scatter his affairs, place poverty before his eyes, and he will receive nothing of the world except what has been decreed for him.'
