Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11684 حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ ابْنُ الْغَسِيلِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ قَدْ عَصَبَ رَأْسَهُ بِعِصَابَةٍ دَسْمَاءَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَكْثُرُونَ وَيَقِلُّ الْأَنْصَارُ حَتَّى يَكُونُوا فِي النَّاسِ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْمِلْحِ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَمَنْ وَلِي مِنْكُمْ أَمْرًا يَنْفَعُ قَوْمًا وَيَضُرُّ آخَرِينَ فَلْيَقْبَلْ مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَلْيَتَجَاوَزْ عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ» قَالَ فَكَانَ آخِرَ خُطْبَةٍ خَطَبَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى مَاتَ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) ascended the pulpit with his head wrapped in a dark bandage. He praised Allah and extolled Him as He deserves, then said: 'Indeed, the people will increase and the Ansar will decrease until they become among the people like salt in food. Whoever among you is placed in authority over a matter that can benefit some people and harm others, let him accept the good from their good ones and overlook the faults of their wrongdoers.' It was the last sermon the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) delivered before he died.
