وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يقول عند الكرب: "لا إله إلا الله العظيم الحليم، لا إله إلا الله رب العرش العظيم، لا إله إلا الله رب السماوات ورب الأرض ورب العرش الكريم" ((متفق عليه)).
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them) said:The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to say when he was in distress: "La ilaha illallahul-Azimul-Halim. La ilaha illallahu Rabbul-'Arshil-'Azim. La ilaha illallahu Rabbus-samawati, wa Rabbul-ardi, wa Rabbul-'Arshil- Karim. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Incomparably Great, the Compassionate. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Rubb of the Mighty Throne. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Rubb of the heavens, the Rubb of the earth, and the Rubb of the Honourable Throne).".
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم پریشانی کے وقت یہ دعا فرماتے: لا الہ الا اللہ العظیم الحلیم، لا الہ الا اللہ رب العرش العظیم، لا الہ الا اللہ رب السمٰوٰت ورب الارض ورب العرش الکریم (اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں وہ عظمت والا بردبار ہے، اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں وہ عرشِ عظیم کا رب ہے، اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں وہ آسمانوں کا رب، زمین کا رب اور عرشِ کریم کا رب ہے)۔ (متفق علیہ)
