وعن المقدام بن معد يكرب رضي الله عنه، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " ما أكل أحد طعاماً قط خيراً من أن يأكل من عمل يده، وإن نبى الله دواد صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يأكل من عمل يده". ((رواه البخاري)).
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported:the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "No food is better to man than that which he earns through his manual work. Dawud (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) of Allah, ate only out of his earnings from his manual work.".
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت مقدام بن معدی کرب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: کسی نے اپنے ہاتھ کی کمائی سے بہتر کبھی کوئی کھانا نہیں کھایا، اور اللہ تعالیٰ کے نبی حضرت داؤد علیہ السلام اپنے ہاتھ کی کمائی سے کھاتے تھے۔ (بخاری)
