وعن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص رضي الله عنهما عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "الكبائر: الإشراك بالله، وعقوق الوالدين، وقتل النفس، واليمين الغموس" ((رواه البخاري)). وفي رواية: أن أعرابيًا جاء إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: يا رسول الله ما الكبائر؟ قال: الإشراك بالله قال: ثم ماذا؟ قال: اليمين الغموس قلت: وما اليمين الغموس؟ قال: الذي يقتطع مال امرئ مسلم يعني بيمين هو فيها كاذب
الترجمة الإنجليزية
'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-As (may Allah be well pleased with them) said:the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "Of the major sins are: Associating anything in worship with Allah, disobedience to the parents, killing without justification and taking a false oath (intentionally).".Another narration is: A bedouin came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and asked him: "O Beloved Messenger of Allah, what are the cardinal sins?" He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) replied, "Associating anything with Allah in worship." The man asked: "(What is) next?" The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) responded, "Al-Yamin Al-Ghamus." He asked: "What do you mean by Al-Yamin Al-Ghamus?" The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) responded, "Swearing falsely to usurp the property of a Muslim."
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عبداللہ بن حضرت عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: کبیرہ گناہ یہ ہیں: اللہ کے ساتھ شرک کرنا، والدین کی نافرمانی، کسی کو ناحق قتل کرنا، اور قسمِ غموس (جھوٹی قسم)۔ (بخاری) اور ایک روایت میں ہے: ایک اعرابی نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! کبیرہ گناہ کیا ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اللہ کے ساتھ شرک کرنا۔ اس نے عرض کیا: پھر کیا؟ ارشاد فرمایا: قسمِ غموس۔ میں نے عرض کیا: قسمِ غموس کیا ہے؟ ارشاد فرمایا: وہ (جھوٹی قسم) جس سے کسی مسلمان کا مال ہڑپ لیا جائے۔
