'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Among the servants of Allah there are people who are neither prophets nor martyrs, yet the prophets and martyrs will envy them on the Day of Resurrection because of their position with Allah." They asked: "O Messenger of Allah, who are they?" He said: "They are people who loved one another for the sake of Allah, without kinship or wealth between them. By Allah, their faces are light, and they are upon light. They will not fear when people fear, nor grieve when people grieve," and he recited: "Indeed, the allies of Allah — no fear will be upon them, nor will they grieve" [Yunus: 62].
