It is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Let none of you prevent his neighbor from fixing a beam of wood (placing a rafter or joist) in his wall (because that is against nobility and there is no loss to oneself; rather, if the neighbor lays a roof there it protects the wall)." Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say (to the people): "I see that you are turning away from this hadith. By Allah, I will keep proclaiming it among you." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 969]
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: تم میں سے کوئی اپنے ہمسایہ کو اپنی دیوار میں لکڑی گاڑنے (گاڈر، شہتیر رکھنے) سے منع نہ کرے (کیونکہ یہ مروت کے خلاف ہے اور اپنا کوئی نقصان نہیں بلکہ اگر ہمسایہ ادھر چھت ڈالے تو دیوار کی حفاظت ہے)۔ سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ (لوگوں سے) کہتے تھے کہ میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ تم اس حدیث سے دل چراتے ہو، اللہ کی قسم میں اس کو تم لوگوں میں بیان کروں گا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 969]
