Narrated Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him): I was beating my slave when I heard a voice from behind me: O Abu Mas'ud! Know that Allah the Exalted has more power over you than you have over this slave. I turned around and it was the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). I said: O Messenger of Allah! He is free for the sake of Allah (i.e., without any price or condition). He (peace be upon him) said: "Had you not done so, the Fire of Hell would have burned you" — or "would have touched you." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 900]
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابومسعود انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں اپنے غلام کو پیٹ رہا تھا کہ اتنے میں میں نے پیچھے سے ایک آواز سنی، کہ ابومسعود! جان لو بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ تجھ پر اس سے زیادہ قدرت رکھتا ہے جتنی تو اس غلام پر رکھتا ہے۔ میں نے پیچھے مڑ کر دیکھا تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمتھے۔ میں نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! وہ اللہ کے لئے (یعنی بلا کسی قیمت و شرط) آزاد ہے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اگر تو ایسا نہ کرتا تو جہنم کی آگ تجھے جلا دیتی یا تجھ سے لگ جاتی۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 900]
