Narrated Umm al-Mu'minin A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her): Hind (the wife of Abu Sufyan) came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, there was no household on the face of the earth whose humiliation by Allah the Exalted I would have preferred more than your household. But (now) there is no household on the face of the earth whose becoming honored I would prefer more than your household (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed! By the One in whose hand is my soul." Then Hind (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) is a stingy man. If I spend something from his wealth on his family without his permission, will there be sin upon me? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If you spend (on his family) in a good manner (avoiding extravagance), there is no sin upon you." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 887]
الترجمة الأردية
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہہند (ابوسفیان کی بیوی) نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آئیں اور کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! اللہ کی قسم پوری زمین کی پیٹھ پر کوئی ایسے گھر والے نہ تھے، جن کے متعلق مجھے یہ پسند ہو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ان کو ذلیل کر دے، سوائے آپ کے گھر والوں کے (لیکن اب) پوری زمین کی پشت پر ایسے گھر والے نہیں ہیں جن کا عزت والا ہو جانا مجھے زیادہ پسند ہو، سوائے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے گھر والوں کے۔ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا! ہاں اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے۔ پھر ہندہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! ابوسفیان (رضی اللہ عنہ) کنجوس آدمی ہیں۔ اگر میں اس کی اجازت کے بغیر اس کے مال میں سے کچھ اس کے اہل و عیال پر خرچ کروں تو مجھ پر گناہ تو نہیں ہو گا؟ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اگر اچھے طریقے کے ساتھ (فضول خرچی سے بچ کر اس کے اہل و عیال پر) خرچ کرے تو تجھ پر کوئی گناہ نہیں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 887]
