Narrated Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The best dinar a man spends is the dinar he spends on his family (for some of them are those whose maintenance is obligatory upon him, like young children); and likewise the dinar he spends on his animal in the way of Allah (i.e., in jihad); and the dinar he spends on his companions in the way of Allah." Abu Qilabah said: (The Prophet) began with the family. Then Abu Qilabah said: Whose reward is greater than the one who spends on his young children, whereby Allah the Exalted preserves them (from having to beg from anyone) or benefits them and makes them independent? [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 885]
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ثوبان رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ بہتر اشرفی؟ جس کو آدمی خرچ کرتا ہے وہ (اشرفی) ہے جسے اپنے گھر والوں پر خرچ کرتا ہے (اس لئے کہ بعض ان میں سے ایسے ہیں جن کا نفقہ فرض ہے جیسے صغیر اولاد) اور اسی طرح وہ اشرفی جس کو اپنے جانور پر فی سبیل اﷲ خرچ کرتا ہے (یعنی جہاد میں) اور وہ اشرفی جس کو اپنے رفیقوں پر اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کرتا ہے۔ ابوقلابہ نے کہا کہ (آپ نے) عیال سے شروع کیا پھر ابوقلابہ نے کہا کہ اس سے بڑھ کر کس کا ثواب ہے جو اپنے چھوٹے بچوں پر خرچ کرتا ہے یا اللہ تعالیٰ ان کو اس کے سبب سے (کسی کے آگے) ہاتھ پھیلانے سے بچا دے یا نفع دے اور ان کو غنی کر دے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 885]
