Narrated the Mother of the Believers 'A'isha the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her): When we came to Medina (having emigrated), an epidemic fever was spreading there. And Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill. Then when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saw the illness of his Companions, he prayed, "O Allah! Make our Medina beloved to us as You made Mecca beloved to us, or even more; and make it a place of health, and grant us blessing in its 'sa'' and 'mudd,' and turn its fever away toward al-Juhfa."
الترجمة الأردية
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہجب ہم مدینہ میں (ہجرت کر کے) آئے تو وہاں وبائی بخار پھیلا ہوا تھا۔ اور سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ اور سیدنا بلال رضی اللہ عنہ بیمار ہو گئے پھر جب رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اپنے اصحاب کی بیماری دیکھی تو دعا کی کہ اے اللہ! ہمارے مدینہ کو ہمارے لئے دوست کر دے جیسے تو نے مکہ کو دوست کیا تھا یا اس سے بھی زیادہ اور اس کو صحت کی جگہ بنا دے اور ہمیں اس کے”صاع“اور”مد“میں برکت دے اور اس کے بخار کو جحفہ کی طرف پھیر دے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 780]
