Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he said: Al-Fadl ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was riding behind the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). A woman from the tribe of Khatham came and began asking him (peace be upon him), and al-Fadl began looking at her and she began looking at al-Fadl, so the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) turned al-Fadl's (may Allah be pleased with him) face to the other side. The woman said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Allah's obligation of Hajj upon His servants has come, and my father is so old that he cannot sit on a mount. May I perform Hajj on his behalf?" He (peace be upon him) said, "Yes." And this took place during the Farewell Pilgrimage.
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہسیدنا فضل بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پیچھے سوار تھے پس خثعم قبیلہ کی ایک عورت آئی اور وہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمپوچھنے لگی اور سیدنا فضل اس کی طرف دیکھنے لگے، تو وہ فضل کو دیکھنے لگی اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فضل رضی اللہ عنہ کا منہ دوسری طرف پھیر دیا۔ غرض اس عورت نے عرض کیا کہ اے اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! اللہ نے جو اپنے بندوں پر حج فرض کیا ہے، اور میرا باپ (اتنا) بوڑھا ہے کہ سواری پر سوار نہیں ہو سکتا۔ کیا میں اس کی طرف سے حج کروں؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: ہاں اور یہ حجۃ الوداع کا ذکر ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 649]
