Narrated Abu 'Atiyyah, who said: Masruq and I went to the Mother of the Believers 'A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her), and Masruq said to her: O Mother of the Believers, there are two men among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) who do not fall short in goodness and virtue: one of them breaks the fast early and prays early, and the other delays both breaking the fast and the prayer. The Mother of the Believers 'A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Who is the one who breaks the fast early and prays early? We said: He is 'Abd Allah (ibn Mas'ud) (may Allah be pleased with him). Then the Mother of the Believers said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to do the same.
الترجمة الأردية
ابوعطیہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے کہا کہمیں اور مسروق ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس گئے اور مسروق نے ان سے کہا کہ اے ام المؤمنین! رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے اصحاب میں سے دو شخص ایسے ہیں جو نیکی اور بھلائی میں کمی نہیں کرتے، ان میں سے ایک تو اول وقت افطار کرتے ہیں اور اول وقت ہی نماز پڑھتے ہیں اور دوسرے افطار اور نماز میں دیر کرتے ہیں۔ ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ وہ کون ہیں جو اول افطار کرتے ہیں اور اول وقت نماز پڑھتے ہیں؟ تو ہم نے کہا کہ وہ عبداللہ (بن مسعود) رضی اللہ عنہ ہیں تو ام المؤمنین نے کہا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبھی ایسا ہی کیا کرتے تھے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 594]
