Narrated Zayd ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him): We took the pre-dawn meal (suhur) with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), then stood up for the morning prayer. I (the narrator) asked: How long was the interval between the two (the suhur and the prayer)? He said: The measure of fifty verses. (Between finishing the suhur and the iqamah for the prayer there was an interval of about ten minutes.)
