Narrated the Mother of the Believers 'A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When a woman spends from her household's food without extravagance (that is, as much as is customary, such as a morsel to a poor person or a handful to a beggar, in which the husband's consent is known from custom), then she has the reward of her spending, and her husband has the reward of his earning, and the treasurer likewise the same — so that the reward of one does not diminish the reward of another (that is, Allah, the Exalted, will give each one a reward, and will not merely make one a partner in another's reward)."

ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: جب عورت اپنے گھر کے اناج سے بغیر فساد کے خرچ کرے (یعنی جتنا دستور ہے جیسے فقیر کو ٹکڑا یا سائل کو ایک مٹھی جس میں شوہر کی رضا عادت سے معلوم ہوتی ہے) تو اس کو اس کے خرچ کرنے کا ثواب ہوتا ہے، اور شوہر کو اس کے کمانے کا۔ اور خزانچی کو بھی اسی کی مثل کہ ایک کے ثواب سے دوسرے کا ثواب نہ گھٹے گا (یعنی ہر ایک کو اللہ تعالیٰ ایک ثواب دے گا نہ کہ ایک کے ثواب میں دوسرے کو شریک کر دےگا)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 552]
