It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zayd al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went out to the place of Eid prayer and supplicated for rain. And when he intended to supplicate, he faced the qiblah and turned his cloak inside out. And in another narration it is: So (the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him) turned his back to the people and began to supplicate to Allah, and faced the qiblah and turned his cloak inside out, then prayed two rak'ahs. الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا عبداللہ بن زید انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمعیدگاہ کی طرف نکلے اور پانی کے لئے دعا مانگی۔ اور جب ارادہ کیا کہ دعا کریں تو قبلہ کی طرف ہوئے اور اپنی چادر کو الٹا۔ اور ایک دوسری روایت میں ہے کہ پس (رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے) لوگوں کی طرف پیٹھ کی اور اللہ سے دعا کرنے لگے اور قبلہ کی طرف منہ کیا اور چادر الٹی پھر دو رکعت نماز پڑھی۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 447]
