The Mother of the Believers Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came in while two (young, pre-pubescent) girls were with me singing the songs of the battle of Bu'ath. So he lay down on the bedding and turned his face away from them. Then Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came and scolded me: The instrument of Satan in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)? And the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) turned towards him and said: Leave them (that is, let them sing). Then, when he became inattentive, I signaled to the two girls and they went out. It was the day of Eid, and the Africans (Abyssinians) were playing with shields and spears. So I do not recall whether I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) or he himself said: Do you wish to watch it? I said: Yes. Then he made me stand behind him, and my cheek was upon his cheek, and he was saying: Carry on, O children of Arfidah! until, when I grew tired, he said: Enough? I said: Yes. He said: Well, then go. ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممیرے تشریف فرما ہوئے اور میرے پاس دو (نابالغ) لڑکیاں بعاث کی لڑائی کے گیت گا رہی تھیں تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبچھونے پر لیٹ گئے اور اپنا منہ ان کی طرف سے پھیر لیا۔ پھر سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ آئے اور مجھے جھڑکا کہ شیطان کی تان رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس؟ اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان کی طرف دیکھا اور فرمایا کہ ان کو چھوڑ دو (یعنی گانے دو) پھر جب وہ غافل ہو گئے تو میں نے ان دونوں کو اشارہ کیا تو وہ نکل گئیں۔ وہ عید کا دن تھا اور سودانی (حبشی) ڈھالوں اور نیزوں سے کھیلتے تھے، سو مجھے یاد نہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے خواہش کی تھی یا انہوں نے خود فرمایا کہ کیا تم اسے دیکھنا چاہتی ہو؟ میں نے کہا کہ ہاں۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے مجھے اپنے پیچھے کھڑا کر لیا اور میرا رخسار آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے رخسار پر تھا، اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ اے اولاد ارفدہ! تم اپنے کھیل میں مشغول رہو۔ یہاں تک کہ جب میں تھک گئی تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ بس؟ میں نے عرض کیا کہ ہاں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا اچھا جاؤ۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 432]
