Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: Whoever performs the ablution (ghusl) and comes to the Friday prayer and prays as much as was decreed for him, then remains silent until the imam finishes the sermon, then prays with the imam, his sins from that Friday to the previous Friday and three more days are forgiven. الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ جس نے غسل کیا اور جمعہ میں آیا اور جتنی مقدر میں تھی نماز پڑھی، پھر خطبہ سے فارغ ہونے تک خاموش رہا، پھر امام کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی تو اس کے اس جمعہ سے گذشتہ جمعہ تک اور تین دن کے اور زیادہ گناہ معاف کر دیئے جاتے ہیں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 422]
