Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "The people of Yemen have come — and they are tender-hearted and soft in nature. Faith is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni. Humility and tranquility are found among the keepers of sheep, while pride and arrogance are found among the owners of horses and camels who raise their voices, from the direction of the rising sun."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے، کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ یمن کے لوگ (خود مسلمان ہونے کو) آئے اور وہ لوگ نرم دل ہیں اور نرم خو ہیں۔ ایمان یمن کا ہی اچھا ہے اور حکمت بھی یمن ہی کی (بہتر) ہے اور غریبی اور اطمینان بکریوں والوں میں ہے اور بڑائی و شیخی مارنا اور فخر و گھمنڈ کرنا گھوڑے والوں اور اونٹ والوں میں ہے جو چلاتے ہیں اور وبر والے ہیں، سورج کے طلوع ہونے کی طرف سے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 39]
