Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Were it not that it would be a hardship on the Muslims"—and in the narration of Zuhair it is thus: "Were it not that it would be a hardship on my nation"—"I would command them to use the tooth-stick (miswak) at the time of every prayer."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: اگر مسلمانوں پر شاق (یعنی مشکل) نہ ہوتا اور زہیر کی روایت میں یوں ہے کہ اگر میری امت پر مشکل نہ ہوتا تو میں ان کو حکم کرتا کہ ہر نماز کے وقت مسواک کیا کریں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 270]
